Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens. Since vacancies in CAPFs and Assam Rifles are allocated by state or region, candidates must submit a domicile or Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for their state/UT.
Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 23 years old as of January 1, 2025. Birth dates must fall between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2007.

Computer-Based Examination
Candidates who apply for the 39,481 Constable (General Duty) positions must first appear for the Computer-Based Examination (CBE). Details of the CBE are as follows:

Syllabus for CBE:
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Tests analytical aptitude and pattern recognition through non-verbal questions. Includes analogies, spatial visualization, visual memory, and other reasoning tasks.
General Knowledge and Awareness: Assesses awareness of the environment, current events, and general matters related to India and neighboring countries, including sports, history, culture, geography, and more.
Elementary Mathematics: Covers number systems, arithmetic operations, percentages, ratios, averages, interest, and other basic mathematical concepts.
English/Hindi: Tests basic comprehension and understanding of English or Hindi.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Based on CBE performance, candidates will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), conducted at various centres by CAPFs.

Medical Examination
Shortlisted candidates from the PST/PET will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) conducted by Medical Boards appointed by CAPFs. The examination will follow the Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination as per MHA UO No. A.VI-1/2014-Rectt(SSB) dated 20.05.2015 and MHA OM No: E.32012/ADG(Med)/DME&RME/DA-1/2020(Part File)/1166 dated 31.05.2021.
