SCERT Assam D.El.Ed. Admission 2024:
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Assam has announced the admission for the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for the 2024-2026 session. Interested and eligible candidates need to apply online for the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2024 to get admission into this course.
The course will be offered in NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIET, CTE, Normal School, BTC, and private TEIs) across the state for the 2024-2026 academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed Admission:
Resident-ship: Candidates who are permanent residents of Assam can only apply for this course.
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed Higher Secondary (+2) or an equivalent examination from recognized Boards/Councils with at least 50% marks in total, not counting the marks from extra/optional/fourth subjects.
# Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and ST(H) categories will receive a 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks requirement.
Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 34 years as of July 1, 2024. Candidates belonging to SC, ST(P), and ST(H) categories will receive a 2-year age relaxation.
Reservation of Seats: Seat reservations for candidates from reserved categories, including OBC, MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and Persons With Disabilities (PWD), will follow existing government norms.
Application Fee: All candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 600 (Rupees Six Hundred only) online. The fee can be paid using Internet Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or Wallet.
Admit Cards: Candidates will be able to download his/ her SCERT Assam D.El.Ed PET Admit Card from the website, https://www.scertassam.co.in/ from 1st September 2024 by entering his/her Application Number and Date of Birth generated during online submission of application.
Pre-Entry Test (PET) Venue: The venue for the PET 2024 will be assigned based on the "District" chosen by candidates during the online application process. This information will be included on the candidate's ADMIT card. Selected candidates will be allotted seats in the Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) of the district where they choose to take the PET 2024.

Syllabus of D.El.Ed SCERT Pre-Entry Test (PET):
Candidates interested in pursuing a teaching career at the elementary level can apply to take the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2024 for admission into the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course. The Test shall have two Sections: Section 1 and Section 2. Other details are as mentioned below.
